Key Deadlines
Admission Criteria & Rules
For applicants with a university degree from an EU / EEA member state, the selection ranking is calculated as follows:
- 80% Weight: Digital Math & Aptitude Test for Engineering (dMAT) score
- 20% Weight: Final Bachelor's Grade Point Average (GPA)
If the study aptitude test (dMAT) proof is missing by the final deadline, it will be graded with 0 points in the selection ranking.
By North Rhine-Westphalia state law, a maximum 7% quota of study spots is reserved for Non-EU/EEA graduates (evaluated via GRE General Test).
Please verify yourself if you have all your required test certificates (dMAT or GRE General Test), official transcripts, and English B2 language proofs before applying through RWTHonline.
European Economic Area (EEA) Pathway — Numerus Clausus (NC) Selection Score
Follow this checklist if you completed your Bachelor's degree in an EU / EEA member state. Selection rank is evaluated via 80% dMAT aptitude test score + 20% Bachelor's Grade Point Average (GPA).
First university degree equivalent to 180 ECTS in natural/engineering/technical sciences.
Take the online aptitude test which represents 80% of the selection rank.
Prepare accepted certificate proving English CEFR level B2.
Prepare certified digital files of all credentials.
I understand that if dMAT test results are not submitted by the deadline (August 1), the aptitude score is counted as 0 points in the selection ranking.
